## What Mac Pure is

Mac Pure replenishes the lipids the skin makes naturally. The active ingredient is macadamia oil, one of the highest natural sources of palmitoleic acid (omega-7) at around 21%. Palmitoleic acid is a major component of human sebum — the oil the skin produces to keep its barrier intact.

When sebum production falls — through aging, diabetes, or radiation damage to the sebaceous glands — the skin barrier breaks down. Surface moisturisers (sorbolene, glycerin-based lotions) add water but do not replace the missing lipid.
