A family of skin conditions looking for a real answer.
Growing up, I had eczema. Not mild eczema. The kind that means you know every sorbolene product at the chemist, every steroid cream your GP will prescribe, and every phase of thinking you've finally found something that works before slowly realising you haven't. Skin conditions were part of our family story. We were not strangers to reactive, difficult, uncooperative skin.
The frustration was never with any one product. It was with the pattern. Every recommendation led back to the same two categories: something to add moisture, or something to calm inflammation. Both do what they say. Neither of them asks why the skin is struggling in the first place. We kept coming back to that question.
We found macadamia oil through research, not through a trend. Reading about fatty acid composition and how skin lipid biology actually works. Macadamia oil contains 17-22% omega-7, which is the specific fatty acid the skin's own sebaceous glands produce. No other practical plant oil comes anywhere near that concentration. That was the finding that changed everything for us.
The clinical connection came later, and it came personally. People close to us have been through breast cancer treatment, radiation therapy, chemotherapy. We watched them struggle with their skin during and after treatment, following the standard recommendations, finding that none of them really worked. When we understood the biology behind why, the work took on a different weight. It stopped being a personal skincare project and started feeling like something that could genuinely help people in hard situations.
We are a small Australian business. We are not trying to be everything to everyone. We make three products for three specific situations where the biology is clear and the need is real. That is the whole company.
