If your radiation skincare is no longer available, here is what was built for the same purpose.
Some products formulated specifically for radiation-affected skin are no longer available. Calm+ was made for the same reason they existed, because skin during cancer treatment needs something most moisturisers are not designed to provide.
Shop Calm+My radiation nurses kept asking what I was using because my skin didn't look as raw as the other patients. My skin didn't crack or break in those seven weeks either. Mac Pure was the only thing that worked for me.

Radiation treatmentWhy radiation skin needs more than a moisturiser
Those glands are responsible for producing sebum, your skin's natural protective layer. When they are disrupted by radiation, the skin loses its ability to maintain its own barrier. Water-based moisturisers add hydration at the surface, but they cannot replace what the skin has stopped producing.
Calm+ is built around macadamia oil, which contains one of the highest concentrations of palmitoleic acid of any plant oil. Palmitoleic acid is the specific omega-7 fatty acid your skin's glands produce naturally. It is what most moisturisers do not contain.
What to know if you are looking for an alternative
If you found something that worked during treatment and it is no longer available, that is a stressful thing to navigate. Calm+ is fragrance-free across every ingredient, uses no essential oils, and is formulated specifically for the barrier disruption that radiation causes. It was not adapted from a general moisturiser and repositioned. It was built for radiation treatment skin from the start.
If you have any questions about whether Calm+ is right for your situation, please speak with your radiation therapist or oncology nurse before making changes during active treatment.

Fragrance is worth checking for in any radiation skincare product.
It appears in more products than you might expect, sometimes listed as parfum, sometimes as hypoallergenic fragrance, sometimes as essential oils. On skin already sensitised by treatment, it is worth avoiding. Calm+ contains none of them.
It is also worth looking for a moisturiser that goes beyond surface hydration. Emollients and humectants add water to the skin. They do not address the underlying change in your skin's oil production. A formulation built around palmitoleic acid does.
If you were using a specialist radiation skincare product and need an alternative, Calm+ was formulated for the same purpose. The 500ml size suits ongoing daily use throughout treatment.
